Question:

I know it’s kind of long, so it’s okay if you don’t answer if you don’t like long questions…

… In many ways, it seems we have improved our lives greatly from a long time ago… (eg. colonial times) Me and everyone I know at school and around me has a roof over their head. If we are hungry, we walk over to the fridge and pull something out. And then there’s air conditioning, showers, TV, ipod, iphone, fast food, etc.

Yet it seems there is a price to pay… because a lot of people start buying things they can’t afford… (fill in the blank)… and to try and pay for it all they work overtime at some thankless job where they don’t want to be…(fill in the blank) , working away, not out of motivation for what they are doing, but out of only wanting… or by this point needing money.

…. A lot of people overload themselves with so many things…(fill in the blank) that there is simply no time for anything anymore.

And then they come home stressed and exhausted, so tired they don’t want to do any of the things they love like spend time with their husband/wife/children or have a real relationship with someone. Their whole life becomes swallowed with stress and chasing after so many things in a huge rat race, and after a while they become so depressed they start needing happy pills to go on… so then they just take the pills and go on with their whole same routine over and over….

Answer:

Errr- depressing much?

It just depends on how you look at life, you can go with what everyone else does or do what makes you happy, not what gets you the most stuff and money.

Personally I aspire to be a nurse not because of the pay but because of the rewarding feeling you get for helping others. I plan on living in a practical house that is in the backwoods because it’s beautiful like that.

So I dunno maybe you got sucked in the Suburban American life, but dont make everyone else feel bad. That’s your choice hunny.
